APPROACH

As a therapist, I am focused on providing a safe and comfortable environment for you in an effective way that helps to facilitate change and healing. It is my belief that the combination of a trusting relationship paired with an empathetic and interactive approach can create a platform for personal growth that can allow you to reach your individualized goals. My role in this therapeutic process is to take a non-judgmental stance to motivate change through helping you identify, navigate, and cope effectively with unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.

I use a multidisciplinary approach including behavioral, cognitive, client centered and holistic psychotherapy to form individualized treatment plans. Thereby creating an atmosphere of trust, support and acceptance. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health. My specialty areas include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression; grief and loss; perinatal mood disorders; infertility; birth trauma; maternal mental health; trauma; relationship issues.

I provide tele-therapy which offers convenience, accessibility and safety for clients. Although deciding to seek therapy can be incredibly difficult, it is also empowering to make the choices to take control of your life. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey towards continuous self improvement.

Charlene Kwintner LCSW

Charlene holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Justice Studies from The College of New Jersey and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers State University. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, addressing a range of issues including substance abuse, LGBTQIA+ counseling, domestic violence, trauma, and mental health concerns like depression and anxiety.

 

Charlene specializes in reproductive and maternal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum challenges, and grief after pregnancy or infant loss. She integrates Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to enhance life satisfaction and reduce anxiety and depression. She also has experience in partial care settings for clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Counseling Self Pay Rates:
$175 per Intake Session
$175 per 60-minute Session
$150 per 45-minute Session

 

Clinical Supervisons

$100 per 60-minute Session

We accept a variety of insurance plans, including:

Payment
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards as forms of payment. 

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least

24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged a flat fee of $70.
